Significant Dates for T-Ball Updated 2/28/2017

Welcome to Palatine Youth Baseball T-Ball Division.  This division is for boys and girls that will be in Kindergarten starting in the fall of 2017.

Registered T-Ball players will hear from their assigned team Manager no later than the end of March. For those considering to register, we will accept players up until our registration close date of Friday, March 10.

Teams will play or practice one weeknight each week (the night of the week will be pre-determined) and then again on Saturday. The time will vary and schedules will be set by the league. 

Here is a tentative schedule of upcoming events.  Please check back for changes as we get closer to the start of the season.

  • March 10, 2017 - Registration Closes
  • March 16, 2017 - PYBS T-Ball Orientation Parent's Meeting 6:30-7:30pm @ Senior Center (505 S. Quentin Rd, Palatine, IL)
  • March 31, 2017  - Team rosters will be finalized
  • April 7, 2017 - PYBS Parents Night Out Smith Street Station (Durty Nellies) @ 8:00 PM
  • Early April - Team Meetings
  • Early April - Team practice and game schedules will be posted to website
  • Week of April 8th - Practices will begin
  • April 22, 2017 - PYBS Picture Day
  • May - Games will begin and run through late June/Early July
  • June 10, 2017 - Family Night at Schaumburg Boomers Game @ 6:00pm 
  • July 8, 2017 - PYBS Baseball and Softball Day (Trophy Day)

General TBall Information Updated 2/28/2017

General Information

* Players will RECEIVE a uniform:  Hat, Jersey (shirt), Pants and Socks.

* Player will be RESPONSIBLE for:  Baseball glove, Spikes (optional/recommended) and a boy's protective cup.

* Games and Practices will be played at PADDOCK (Palatine) and MAGGIE ROGERS PARK (Inverness).

* Teams will PRACTICE one day during the week, except for Fridays.  We NEED parents to be INVOLVED with our practice sessions.  No prior baseball or coaching experience necessary.  With all the 5 year-olds running around, the more adult bodies participating the more productive and organized practice will be. 

* Games will be Saturdays ranging from 9am-noon, and once or twice during the week.

* Games will be 3 innings or 1 hour - whichever comes first.

* GOAL is to have FUN, learn to be on a team, and improve basic baseball fundamentals.

* All players will rotate positions and have equal playing time.

* Tone should be positive; parents and coaches will set an example of sportsmanship and teamwork.
